easter weekend. you may know by now that means a trip to halcyon hotsprings for christine and i.
things got off to a rocky start when the side window of our car was shattered by a rock from a passing car. rocky start... get it. i can laugh about that now. but after hitting reset and making a few quick calls, we were off. in a car exactly like ours but silver and automatic. i had to hold christine's hand when i was driving to avoid shifting the stupid auto shifter thing. ar at least that was my excuse.

our rental car and our sweet little cabin. |
we didn't waste any time checking into the hotel and out of reality. the pool was a bit busy when we got there, but we actually spent a lot of time in fairly empty times. sweet.
the pools. |
Soon our bathing suits were hanging to dry on the balcony and we were out exploring around.
could be sweet to stay in this sometime. |
We walked around the area and checked out the lake. we also cruized into nakusp for 3 of our favourite things; geocaching, the german pizza place, and the used book store. during the geocaching part, we found our favourite thing #4. the awesome chocolate shop.
still snow up there |
Since we had great success at the book store (as well as all the other places) we had a bit of reading to do. it was a mini chilly but sunny and pleasant. that porch got a work out.
christine riding a floaty around the island. |
We spent 90% of our awake time in the pools, but we also accomplished another easter hotspring ritual... writing postcards at the picnic table in the park.
we left a little something in ink. see if its there next year. |
the adventure gets better every time. expect another of the same this time next year.
