i'd never been to nakusp before, so to check out the targa west rally with my wife seemed like the perfect reason to visit. The drive was great. we went through cherryville and crossed arrow lake at the needles ferry. a free 10 minute ferry ride. good times.
We stayed at the lodge up at the nakusp hotsprings. The hotsprings came in handy when i had the most brutal twisted ankle/foot cramp ever on day 2. barely slept at all, so we missed the rally. it was the weirdest pain ever, let a foot cramp that you let get away on you. hotspring mega helped, but i felt like i was in the movie cocoon.
we did get a chance to hit almost a dozen geocaches, spend some time on a few huge deserted beaches, and walk though the bush to the site of the original nakusp hotsprings.
