a drive though a meadow. then a walk through a forest. with louie.

Time for a drive with louie.  We headed up to one of our favourite spots to try and find a tower with a blinking light we can see from my deck.  We didn't find it, but we had a good time anyway.

the parking spot.  lots to choose from

While we didn't log many kilometers on the truck, we logged quite a few on our legs.  the backroad map books indicated a few little roads in the area.  most were well overgrown.  this one was one of the better ones, but totally inaccessible.  made for a nice walking trail for 2 hours.

There is a fire ban due to crazy dry conditions, so we bbq'd our hotdogs instead of cooking them on a fire.  still tasted wicked.

We also had a great view for most of the day.  The smoke in the valley wasn't too bad, so we could see past kelowna really nice.

Then it was time to head down.  always easier said than done.  we took this grassy "road" only to find its terminus right before the main road.  A massive ditch blocked the last 10 feet.  back up the trail to try other options.

a sweet trail we drove down.  and then back up.
While we were up there, a crazy nice mercedes came for a rip through the dirt.  it really kicked up some dust.

stopped for a glomour shot before making more dust.

I got a camera back up and working.  pretty excited about that.  stay tuned for more hopefully soon.
