who logged the snowshoe trails?

Time to get the snowshoes white once again. this time we headed up to Kelowna Nordic. it was snowing on the way up, so that seemed like a good thing for snowshoeing.

We strapped on the shoes and headed into the bush. then, the bush was gone. just like that. 1/2 the trail area had been heavily loggeds over the summer. what the heck? sure changed the feeling.

After treking through the windy field, we got into the old bush.  much better.

We headed down some familiar trails, and a new-to-us one as well.  we stopped for a snack at the a frame "cabin".  i love that place.  3 feet of snow up the poly walls, but warm and dry inside.

The snow was starting to get a bit crazy, so we headed back, knowing we still had to drive down the mountain in what was now a blizzard.  good times as usual.   hopefully we can get the shoes on 1 more time this season, but its supposed to be 15 degrees next week, so we better hurry.
