eureka. were we camped in a fire tower

turns out we had 3 days for an epic adventure, so wayne, mary kris cruise and i headed up to this cool spot we heard about.  We originally had plans to return to twin lakes, but that fell through.  this was a worthy replacement.

we could see tiwn lakes, and the pinnacles.

The road, after the 90 minutes of highway, was pretty dicy.  the crazy bouncing i felt on the drive home was two severed rear shocks.  that kinda ruff.

but it was all worth it when we rolled up to the top and found this place waiting for us.

unpacking.  we really settled in.
it was in really great shape.  there was a bottom floor that was a big brick room, but the upstairs was the happening part.

the castle
the first thing was to take all the wood off the outside of the windows, and let the view flow in.

ridiculous sunsets
the night was warm with the wood stove going and we all slept comfortably.

The next day was exploring, cooking and eating some of the most amazing ribs ever.  marinated for hours and slow cooked for hours more.

r r r r r r ribs.
there are a few trails around the top besides the road/trail we drove up of.  we explored around there and saw tons of crazy mushrooms, some weird tree groth stuff and some sick views.

north towards monashees.  the pinncales on the leftish.

the truck through binoculars the wrong way.

more sunsets and relaxingville

we left the 3rd day afternoon.  what a place.  we'll be back.

if you decide to check this place out, do it.  but there are not many places like this left around bc, or anywhere. please respect this one.
