following sonja and rocksteady. |
There was also blue skies. something not around in the valley. The 5 of us hung out, had a fire, and norm and sonja got a christmas tree. Good times in the sun.
While norm, sonja and kris were off getting a tree, mary and i adventured across the frozen but really slushy lake to get the grill from our last winter camp out.
almost there. our camp was pretty much straight across the lake. |
there it is. snow was waist deep in the bush. |
we used logs across the low ends to keep the wind kinda out. |
Once it was dark, norm and sonja and their new tree headed off, we heard a crazy and strange sound from the bush. enter wayne!! he made it and found us. sounds don't get and crazier and strange than wayne.
The gang was all here; it was time to put the grill to use. 3 kinds of meat cooked over the fire. of course.
We spent the rest of the night chilling out over rum hot chocolate and cold-almost-freezing beers.
The morning was sweet. wayne and i were first ones up. the log pile wall was pretty used up and the sun wasn't busting through the clouds like yesterday, but it was still totally awesome.
Sadly, it came to an end. time to go back. It was mega sweet that mary was back from school and that wayne came out. dont get a montley crue like that together often enough. Thanks to mary for most of the pictures. the good ones for sure.
