We had tried previously with kris and mary and, although we had an awesome time, we it remained hidden. off to try again.
The road got crazy pretty quickly. 4x4 type of crazy. we were kinda in the middle of nowhere, so it's a good thing truck 3 is so awesome.
the good part of the road. |
It was good to be on some new to me roads, though most looked like the were being reclaimed by the trees. A few dead ends not on the map and a few hours of driving and there we were. hidden lake.
A cool lake never before seen by me. I'm sure it will be seen by me again.
old row boat pulled up on the shore |
The road ended by a small clearing, but a bit of a trail continued on. we laft the truck and walked for 30 minutes. some cool views.
let's park here. |
We got back to the truck, set up some plastic army guys and went though about 250 pellets each. those soldiers never knew what hit them. if anyone needs a sniper, let me know.
Then it was time to go. we decided to find a different way out, and even though we left the beaten trail by oyama lake, we came above beaver lake, near dee lake.
On the way back, we passed lost lake. Couldn't resist checking it out. despite it being a long weekend, the place was empty, except for the benches we made last time we were there. so happy nobody tried to burn them. I cut a bunch more firewood and left it there to help dissuade people from burning out sweet creations.
Once we left lost lake, it was a straight shot home. what an awesome loop. some roads in the area we passed but couldn't explore. not sure if there's enough gas in the world to follow them all.
our awesome loop. |
