sunday i strapped on the snowshoes again. this time with my awesome wife christine. we headed up to soverign lake in silver star to make some tracks. took some new trails and some old ones. it was -4 and foggy and a bit clear and totally awesome. look.
the main trail we took was called hidden meadow. never been on it before. rating: would do again.
we cruised through some tall straight pines until we came into a small open meadow. was this the fabled hidden meadow? sure. why not?

the trail was packed enough that it made for pretty easy walking, but without snowshoes it whould have been thigh deep.

this was our 3rd or 4th time up to soverign lakes. there are some longer trails and a cabin that we might check out with a lunch someday. if you're looking for a place to snowshoe. go here.
