sunday, back to the bush

time to return to the trail that mike, dave and i had to abandon last weekend due to lack of a chainsaw. this time we would have a chainsaw, and a hero chainsaw operator on a mission from gad.

we pretty much made a beeline for the daedfall that held us up. first was the greasy hill climb, which was no problem now that we knew what the deal with it was.

soon we came to the first blockage.  mike went to work with the saw while we (mostly louie) cleaned up the result.

Dave took point.  it was a pretty epic drive.  sometimes it felt like a rain forest.  Mike saved the day with watkins bug lotion.

There wasn't much carnage.  some pinstripes and a little tail light damage.

It was pretty much clear trail for 200m, go back, get the trucks, drive up, and get out and continue clearing.  lather, rinse, repeat as necessary.

It wasn't crazy hot, but we worked like dogs.  so we rested.  sometimes.

chill break. we deserved it.

After a day of crazy work and epic driving, it was time to eat and stuff.  so we did.  we headed to the same sweet meadow we were at last weekend and proceeded to chill.

2 stock 4runners.  not sure what else we needed.

The MVP of the day goes to mike and his saw.  holy crap this guy can cut trail.  3 tanks of 2stroke gas and now there is a trail.
