beaver lake = birthday lake

Last week's recon was to get ready for this.  kris's birthday in the wall tent.  we had left some firewood up there and scoped out a site. time to put that to use.

the first order of business was to get the tent set up.  the last time it was up was this same weekend last year, for the same reason.

It rained.  we ate spaghetti. army men got shot.  some beer was dranken.

The stove was a bit of a bum.  sometimes it went awesome.  most times, not so much.  not sure what the problem was.  i suspect user error.  we didn't give it the attention it really needed.  sorry stove.

The lake was still very frozen, and it got a bit cold at night.  but we had enough wood and enough fire to keep us warm.

it was a sweet lazy weekend.  awesome to get the wall tent out again.  hopefully it doesn't stay packed up for another year.
