may long. another tradition.

saturday a few of us decided to head into them hills and do some camping.  and canoeing.  and fishing. and standing in the rain.

we loaded up the ripper and took off towards beaver lake.  being may long and all, the site was totally full, and them some.  so we continued towards island lake.  a place i've been before, but not recently.

1st fish of the year.

the first order of business was to get the tents up, then get the canoe wet.  thats what we did.  we got the fishing hooks wet too, but i didn't catch anything bigger than 6 inches, so i put it back to catch later.

our little spot.  pretty awesome

it was not a dry weekend.  it rained off and on for most of it. it didn;t really bother us once we got the tarp set up.  all good.

norm, louie and mary staying dry.
we met tons of sweet people around the campsite.  some randoms that we hung out with all night and some visitors who came to say "hi".

chainsaw, pellet gun, axe and wood.  what else do you need for a sweet weekend?
it was a sweet weekend.  we didn't let the weather get our spirits wet.  i see another adventure on the horizon.  you in?

the porsche panamera that we saw on the way out.  random
