New Year for New adventures

i know yesterday i was literally sitting on a beach getting a tan, but now it's time to get back to the reality of canada. Can't let a bit of snow stop me. We were going to go icefishing, but a lack of volunteers and a bit of a late start. better late than never.

i met up with louie and we hopped in my truck, heading up to chute late.

our 1st stop was at the top of gillard on the KVR. we whole valley was covered in cloud, and we were well above it. looked like a valley full with snow. pretty cool.

Then we travelled along the KVR for about 15 k.  some parts were pretty open with some good drops on each side.  pretty obviously an old train track.

Other parts of the KVR were pretty sheltered.

We got to the resort, spoke to the owner for a bit, and then dug out a fire pit.  Louie got the fire going with no paper and just a flick or 2 of the lighter.

found the fire pit!

the resort os for sale.  can i borrow a million?

The winter caretaker was ice fishing, but didn't have any luck.  he had a good time though.

dood fishing it up.

After hotdogs and meeting a few people for some good times, we headed down in the dark.  the fog was back in the valley, and it was a foggy drive down.

1st adventure of the year on the 1st day of the year.   Lots more days and adventures to come.  you should be part of some.
