another truck sunday to celebrate autumn

so its the first day of fall. how to commemorate it? how about 4x4ing up a sweet trail with kris, a chainsaw and a dog? off we went.

where we rung in autumn

We headed up postil and up an off road that i've used as a firewood cutting road before.  It's always a bit of a different road, especially with the rain around here.  we were forced to turn around at one spot when there was a crazy washout ditch that had never been there before.

heading up

the road climbed along a cliff that we winter camped at the top of before, and soon we were at the top, looking down a 60ft cliff and to quail gate and okanagan lake in the background.

okanagan lake, the airport and the university area

we saw some rain in the distance, so we got the fire ripping right after the chainsaw was.  we cooked up some sweet smokies with truck-a-que sauce.

kris and his abstract style smokie
The rain came and went and came and went.  we kept the fire going and had a time.

the road out

of course there was a pellet gun

another sweet weekend in the books.  autumn is now officially here and thats not so bad.  not sure whats up next weekend... you should come.

cruise enjoying the view
